Fire Safety Course – Highfield Level 2 Award in the Principles of Fire Safety

Course Duration: 01 Day

Who is this qualification for?

The qualification of Fire and Safety course  is aimed at anyone involved in the management of fire safety in any workplace. This includes managers, supervisors, team leaders, fire wardens (marshals) and staff working in any area where there is a potential risk of fire.
Learners gaining this qualification will know that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace and will recognise the consequences of fire in any premises.

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification, learners should expect to undertake 6 hours of guided learning.

Entry requirements

There are no prerequisites for this qualification fire and safety course, although it is recommended that learners have a minimum of level 1 in English or equivalent. This qualification is approved for delivery to learners aged 14+.

Topics covered

These include hazards and risks, the control of fire risk, principles and practice of fire safety management at work and the role of the nominated fire warden.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.
