Who is this qualification for HABC Level 2 Course

The HABC Level 2 Course qualification is intended for learners who have access to any environment where hazardous substances are likely to be present. This includes manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transportation, utilities, and office environments, as well as classroom environments. The qualification equips learners with the knowledge and skills needed to recognise and control the risks associated with hazardous substances.

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake 5 hours of guided learning.

Entry requirements

There are no prerequisites for this qualification, although it is recommended that learners have a minimum of level 1 in English or equivalent. This qualification is approved for delivery to learners aged 14+.

Topics covered

These include the law governing hazardous substances in the workplace, how risk assessments contribute to the safe use of hazardous substances in the workplace, and the precautions and procedures required to ensure that risks associated with hazardous substances are properly controlled.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.
