NEBOSH IGC – Open Book Examination

You have 24 hours to finish and turn in your open-book test. During taking your exam, use any available resources, including your text books, notes, and digital resources.

If you can set up a space where you can give your job your whole attention, you should be able to finish the questions in 4-5 hours.

Format of Open Book Examination

A scenario will be presented to start the open book exam. With a summary of typical operational operations and employee behaviour, this will more often represent a realistic organisation or workplace.

Candidates may be asked to imagine that you hold a specific role such as, a safety Manager, in the workplace described.

Unit IG1: Management of International Health and Safety

Examination: Open Book Online examination – 24hrs duration

  • How health and safety management system work and what they look like.
  • Managing Risk – understanding people and processes.
  • Health and safety monitoring and measuring.
Unit IG2: Risk Assessment

Examination: 3 Hours Practical Assessment

  • Physical and psychological health.
  • Musculo-skeletal health.
  • Chemical and biological agents.
  • General Workplace issues and Work equipment
  • Fire and Electricity

Course Duration

15days Classroom Training.

Entry Requirement

Although there are no admission criteria for this certificate, it is crucial that students have a sufficient level of English language proficiency in order to comprehend and explain the concepts covered in the curriculum.

NEBOSH advises students pursuing this certificate to attain a minimum level of English that is equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.0 or above.
